Hello, I'm Kristina.

I'm a twenty-something, nomadic, free-spirited, tenacious, headstrong, damsel-renegade (it works, somehow) living a life of exploration, spontaneity, and a lot of language barriers (they're more fun than you may think).

Born into a world of wanderlust (thanks, travel bug mom!) and growing up with free airfare (thanks, airline pilot dad!), I have had plenty of opportunity to discover the true value of travel.  After finishing my undergrad in 2010 and realizing I had no ambition to start a career in the field I had just spent five years studying (facepalm), I decided my best option would be to join the Peace Corps and I have no regrets.

I returned home after my stint as a community health volunteer in Ecaudor to a snowy, cold Wisconsin, no different than I had left it.  I took my post-Peace Corps $6,500 readjustment allowance and headed south again fast . . . with no real plans.  I ended up backpacking for six months from Peru up to Belize before I ran out of money and missed my mom enough to head back to Wisco and work a handful of part-time jobs here and there for about 16 months, at which point I felt like I saved enough money to go be homeless until I found some new part time jobs in places I hadn't explored yet.

On January 7th, 2015, I once again packed my backpack and got a plane, this time to Asia . . . with no real plans.  And that's where this story starts!  Find out what I'm up to on the blog (where I use a lot of parenthasis because I have a lot of afterthoughts that I'm too lazy to put into full sentences).
